Information channel „K4“: First tenant television in Wiesbaden-Klarenthal

Since July 13, 2006, the tenants of Nassauische Heimstätte in Wiesbaden-Klarenthal (around 1,000 apartments) have a new TV station: „K4-Klarenthal“ is an open information channel, which was launched jointly by Nassauische Heimstätte and the Education Agency. The Klarenthalers themselves are the center of the broadcasts.

Information channel, K4, was initially conceived as pure tenant television, but should be expanded in the long run so that all Klarenthal households can receive it. As local television, it is made for everyone. There is no competition. Persons, clubs and interest groups can come in and introduce themselves.

The tenants can be reached in a quick and direct way with the information channel. Plates provide information on club offerings, events and what’s new in the city section. The broadcast contributions deal with people from the neighborhood, topics of interest from the city section, topics of general interest or with an emphasis on the housing industry. The purpose of the program is to advance communication in the city section and help residents to identify with their part of the city.

There is a flyer that describes how the tenants can receive the channel. When there are difficulties, the employees of the concierge office of Nassauische Heimstätte in Hermann-Brill-Straße 8 are also glad to help.

The broadcast times are the same for all contributions: The program starts  by 7am and is repeated hourly to 10pm. Interesting news and the background on Klarenthal projects are shown.
