Meeting place for youth – Krautgärten

Cooperation project with Wohnbau Mainz  and the provincial capital of Wiesbaden in Mainz-Kastel

The Krautgärten youth pavilion in the residential area of Castellumstraße in Mainz-Kastel is oriented to young people and to children.
The meeting place for youth, operated since 1998 by the provincial capital of Wiesbaden, is open four days a week for 16 hours. The project is financed jointly and equally by the cooperation partners, Wohnbau Mainz and Nassauische Heimstätte, with a total amount of approximately 38,000 euros.

It is the goal of the youth pavilion in Mainz-Kastel to integrate youth of different backgrounds socially and to reduce tensions. The offering palette ranges from an open offering with regular leisure-educational activities to counseling work and/or referral to other social services.
